It finds, screens, and negotiates — but a human always does the actual work, and a human always confirms before anything is committed. The twin saves you the legwork; it doesn't do the job for you.

You set how much autonomy your twin has. Recommends: it surfaces a ranked top-3 with one-line reasoning and you do the rest. Full human approve: it drafts replies and bids for you to review before anything is sent. Agent acts: it auto-assigns within your rules, with a 60-second undo window. You can change this any time.

Yes. Messages are encrypted on your device before they leave it, and only the other person's device can decrypt them. The Aura server is a blind router — it passes encrypted blobs along but cannot read them. No one at Aura can read your conversations.

Aura is a matching layer, not a payment service. You pay — or get paid — directly (cash, PayID, bank transfer). Aura never touches gig money. That also means there's nothing for us to skim, hold, or leak.

No. AURA is a small in-app credit that powers agent actions (for example, 10 AURA to post a gig and 10 AURA to accept one during the pilot). New accounts get 50 AURA free. It is not your wage and not a payment rail — the money you earn from a gig is paid to you directly by the other person, not in AURA.

Up to 14 days, then it closes itself automatically — and you can schedule a job up to 14 days ahead. That keeps the feed honest: what you're looking at is work that's still actually happening, not a listing someone put up months ago. If you set a date and that date passes, the post closes about four days after it. Ongoing roles and vacancies work differently — those are posted by Aura and run for 30, 60 or 90 days.

No. Taskers declare their own licences — they tick what they hold and can add a licence number. Nobody at Aura checks it, and we don't collect the document. Four categories won't let someone bid without declaring first, because doing that work unlicensed is illegal in Queensland: plumbing, electrical, childcare and airport transfers. That's a legal requirement, not a check by us. So ask to see the actual licence before you agree to anything. Photos are different — every uploaded photo is automatically safety-scanned before it goes live.

Aura is rolling out suburb by suburb, starting in Queensland, Australia. More of Australia is next. Matching is hyper-local, so the experience is best where there's an active neighbourhood of taskers and posters.

During the pilot it's a flat 10 AURA to post a gig and 10 AURA to accept one. That's an agent-action fee in credits, not a commission on what you earn — Aura takes no cut of the money that changes hands between people.

No. We don't sell your data — and because your chats are end-to-end encrypted, we can't read them in the first place. When your twin negotiates, it's handed a short, fixed list of public facts about you and nothing more.

Because the build on Google Play and the build you download from this site are signed differently, and Android won't swap one for the other — it treats a signature as proof of who made an app. The fix is to uninstall the copy you have, then install the one you want. Before you do, open the app and turn on Settings → Chat backup and save the recovery code: uninstalling deletes the encryption key held on your phone, and without that code your message history can't be restored by you or by us. Everything else — your account, gigs, wallet, profile — comes back on its own when you sign in. Full steps are at auratwin.co/help/install.

No. If you installed Aura from our website rather than Google Play, Play can't update it, because it only updates apps it installed itself. So no update prompt will ever appear. Either check auratwin.co/download now and then and install the newer build over the top — that works fine, it's the same signature — or switch across to Google Play and let it keep itself current.

Yes. Aura runs in any browser, on a phone or a computer, with the same account — posting and browsing gigs, radar, your twin, wallet and profile. Messages are the one exception: they're encrypted with a key only your devices hold, so to read them in a browser you need your chat backup recovery code, which the app gives you under Settings → Chat backup.

Not today. By default your twin thinks on Aura's servers, which pass your prompt to an AI provider — so both we and that provider can see it. That's worth knowing, because it is NOT covered by the encryption that protects your chats with other people. If you'd rather cut us out, you can add your own AI provider key or point the app at your own Ollama server, and prompts go straight from your phone without touching us. Running the model on the phone itself is on our roadmap and isn't built yet.
